- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup miso paste
- 1/2 cup firm tofu, cubed
- 1/4 cup dried seaweed
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dashi granules (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium pot, bring the water to a gentle simmer.
- Add the dashi granules, if using, and stir until dissolved.
- In a small bowl, dissolve the miso paste with a bit of hot water from the pot until smooth, then return it to the pot.
- Add the tofu and seaweed to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tofu is heated through and the seaweed is rehydrated.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
