- 2 larges apples, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 sheets sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the diced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into four equal squares.
- Spoon the apple mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the pastry squares into triangles, sealing the edges with a fork.
- In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with 1 tablespoon of water.
- Brush the tops of the turnovers with the egg wash.
