- 4 large Italian sausages
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sausages and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Remove sausages from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 8 minutes.
