- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the tomatoes are softened and start to release their juices, about 5-7 minutes.
