  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
  • Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined, to create the batter.
  • Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish, but do not stir.
  • Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter, again without stirring.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
